Find Art & Crafts Shows Online
Host
Barbara Massie
As the "Crafter's Helper," I have been helping crafters find sources and resources for more than 20 years. Answering
questions seems to be what I do best, and recently the question of how to find holiday season shows has been popping into
both my snail-mail and e-mail baskets quite frequently.
Many creative people are concerned about getting into shows that are booked early for the big selling-season starting in
September and on through January. Planning a schedule is difficult unless you can find the shows that suit your product.
Use the following web sites to find shows in your area, or if you are an adventuresome traveler, find shows outside the
continental United States.
CraftsReport
As refined as the magazine, this site has the most complete information. Click on a map of the US to find one of five
regions in which you are interested. They also provide selections for Canada. From the region page, choose a particular
state. Everything you need to know about each show before making a choice is listed: show age, jury requirements, booth
fee and size, what furniture and fixtures can be rented, etc.
Festivals Online
Find festivals along with arts and crafts shows and fine arts events around the US. Telephone numbers and E-mail addresses
give you access to more information on specific shows. Shows listed with Internet addresses will treat you to wonderful
web pages. Each web page has separate links to history of the show, sleeping accommodations, information about the area,
show schedule, etc. This site is a delight.
Arts 'n Crafts Show Guide
A site where you must register and log-in to access the show guide – But it's FREE. There are 20 categories of shows from
which to choose. To find longer listings without narrowing down to a specific category, just don't fill in all of the blanks.
Search here for a show to enter.
The Craft Fair Guide
Separated by Eastern, Central and Western Regions, you click on the region from which you want information. All shows
on the site are listed under each of the 12 months. When clicking on a show listing, complete information comes up --
everything you will need to apply to that individual show.
ARTFEST
Find listings of artfests around the continental US, Hawaii and Alaska. The
site has musical background if you want to be entertained while surfing.
Listings under each state show the event and location. A plus is contact
names with addresses and phone numbers.
Events Calendar of The Arts & Crafts Society
As they describe it - An international listing of Arts & Crafts-related happenings: conferences, shows, exhibits, tours,
auctions, symposia and lectures. When on the home page, click on Events Calendar to explore the listings given by month.
Craft Show Guides
This site doesn't offer immediate information on arts and crafts, but it does list a large quantity of names and addresses for
HARDCOPY show guides. This is a great way to collect publications from a certain region, or one that lists all states, of
arts and crafts shows not listed on the Internet.
It's Happening! EventsLINK
More than just for art and crafts, the event listing has something for everyone. Find a show to participate in, a festival to go
to and learn about the all the fascinating events around the USA.
ART and CRAFT SHOWS. Net
Keeping up with what show- to find when-and where isn't easy. This site makes listings from Sunshine Artist magazine's
database of over 2,000 events available for searching on the Internet. Go into the search form with date, city, state and/or
region to find show listings. The listings show the dates, names and locations of shows. The drawback is that you must
subscribe to the magazine to get full information.
