Come on Tour with… the Beatles!

The Fab Four.
"She Loves You, yeah, yeah, yeah."
The British Invasion.
"Yesterday. . . all my troubles seemed so far away."
If any of these terms are even vaguely familiar, no doubt you've heard
of the musical group that took the world by storm in the early 1960's --
the Beatles.
Even though they've been broken up for many, many years now, their
legendary style of music lives on and inspired much of world's music today.
There are several thousand sites available on the Internet that pays
tribute to Paul, John, George, and Ringo (and even some to Stu Sutcliffe,
the original drummer with the group) but following are some of the best and
most unusual out there. Enjoy!
Dave Dermon III's Beatles Singles Page
This very unusual site showcases the many record label variations used
on U.S. Beatle and Solo Singles from 1963 to the present day. Beatlefan
Magazine's Kit O'Toole reviewed the site in August 1997 and gave this
glowing report of the site:
"Finally, Dave Dermon created a site for diehard collectors called The
Beatles Singles Page . View more than
65 up-close illustrations of Beatles and solo singles.
Click on images of records from such labels as Veejay, Swan and, of course, Apple and see the slight differences in
labeling of each record. Other releases such as the fan club Christmas records are also available.
To see what Dermon still wants to own (in case you are a collector of singles), link to the 'Want List' that displays
what he is seeking. Dermon also provides a decent links list to other Beatles pages."
For the serious or amateur Beatles record collector, this interesting
webpage will surely find you browsing for hours on end and, most likely,
kicking yourself for selling those now "priceless" Beatles' records for a
mere dime a piece at your garage sale last summer. Aah, yesterday . . .
George Harrison -- Albums, Songs, and Lyrics
If you love this former guitar-strumming Beatle, probably the least
famous of the Fab Four, you will love this page dedicated to Harrison. The
site's creator, J. Scholvin, has done a great job of putting together this
tribute to this ex-Beatle.
Every album by George Harrison, either with the Beatles, solo, or as
part of the Traveling Wilbury's, is listed here with the pertinent
information and, most importantly, the lyrics to each of these songs.
Clearly, a lot of time has been spent on this webpage and, if for no other
reason than just wanting to witness this amazing database, stop in for a
visit to George Harrison -- Albums, Songs, and Lyrics site.
London Beatles Fan Club
As the creators of this website will tell its visitors, the London
Beatles Fan Club was initially created for fans of the Beatles in the
London area. They had no idea that this fan club would draw members from
all around the world. But, to their surprise, it did!
This London-based fan club has become an international hit. A
quarterly magazine, called "Off the Beatle Track," is published for
members. However, as the site boasts, there are other aspects to the club
in addition to the magazine.
"We have set up this site which will include information on the club
and magazine and all the latest Fab Four news around the world. The club
also holds regular social events, including video shows, quiz nights and
parties." The club is currently in the process of creating a Beatles
information telephone line.
If you love the Beatles, be sure to check out this ultimate fan club
for Beatles' fans!
Plugged: The Unofficial Paul McCartney Homepage
Created in 1994 (which is actually a very long time to be online),
Plugged: The Unofficial Paul McCartney Homepage has been catering to,
according to many, the "cutest" Beatle, singer and songwriter, Paul McCartney.
Available in two languages, English and German, this webpage is
definitely up to date on McCartney-related information. Very nicely put
together, some of the many sections on this site include the latest
McCartney news, Memorabilia, Collaborations, CD-Singles, Fan Clubs,
Remastered CD's, Videos, Tour List, and Song Index.
Also, there is a page about this ex-Beatle becoming a knight, thus the
prestigious title for one of the most famous (and certainly one of the
richest) men in the world -- SIR Paul McCartney.
Rock Mall's Beatles' Trivia Challenge
So, you think you are a Beatles' expert, do you? You have every
record, every movie, every book, and every published interview. Now, you
can prove to yourself (and your friends) once and for all just how much of
a Beatles' master you really are (or aren't) by taking the Rock Mall's
Beatles' Trivia Challenge.
With a large assortment of trivia questions available, you can spend
hours, days, or even weeks, being quizzed about one of the world's most
famous groups. Good luck!
Simon Cab's Lennon Page
Without a doubt, one of the world's darkest days was the day John
Lennon was murdered. Luckily, thanks to dedicated fans like Simon Cab,
Lennon's legendary music and career lives on through website like Simon
Cab's Lennon Page.
With some of the most unusual sections on a Beatles-related site (and
there are literally THOUSANDS of such sites), Cab includes a section for
Lennon fans to pay their final respects to the late superstar, a section
with some famous (and not so famous) John Lennon quotes, and a really fun
section called John Lennon Facts.
Things you "thought" you never wanted to know (or cared) about this
most illustrious Beatle, such as what he ate for breakfast, that he had a
cat named Jesus, and that he claimed to have seen a U.F.O. in 1974, along
with many more unconventional facts, are available for your viewing
pleasure.
Stop by and read a few facts, look at some photos, or pay your
respects to this legendary man who dared to "IMAGINE" the world we live in
as a better place. And because of his extraordinary musical talents, along
with the other young men who formed that small band in Liverpool called The
Beatles, the world certainly has become a much better place!
Yeah, yeah, YEAH!!!
