Are you crazy about cows? Bewitched by bovines? Then have I got a web tour for you!

My name is Rena and I was raised on a New Mexico ranch, so I'm pretty fond of cows. The following list of sites is mostly silly and sometimes downright funny, but a few have links to useful information about cows.

Well, let's get moo-ving!

Big Dave's Cow Page

This is fun stuff! Dave has put together a whole herd of cow pages with everything from cow trivia to clip art and sounds. Poetry, songs, and a list of places to buy cow-spotted goodies round out his list.

Smoo's Home Page

Smoo's Home Page is everything cow! She has a great cow background and touts her site as the "Home of the ever changing midi." Smoo uses a lot of great cow images and clip art. Off the links page, you can see T-Bone and Filet in their pasture in New Jersey through the amazing CowCam. Or, if you'd rather, you can send a cow kiss to someone you like.

The Cow Pasture

Holy cow! It's the home of the last liberal in the Texas Panhandle. Ben Larson shows us some great cow toons and other cow fun including color- you-own cow cards and virtual cow tipping.

Bovinetics

The Science of MooOlogy. It does a body good! Bovinetics offers links to cow.net, a Boston-based BBS and Internet provider. This site also boasts cow trivia and cow games including Apocalypse Cow and Mylk (like Myst).

Cows of the World Unite.

Home of the PLAYCOW on-line magazine. It's Playboy for bulls. Check out the Playcow of the Month and find out her likes and dislikes. Get up-to-date Moosic Reviews and Heffer News. Finally read the true letters of Barnyard Forum, just for fun.

Oklahoma State University.

Didn't see enough pictures in the PLAYCOW magazine? Then check out these photos of a variety of cattle breeds. Listed alphabetically, you can browse photos of Africanders to Yanbians. Seriously, this site provides information about the different cattle breeds.

Cowtown America.

The home page of the National Cattlemen's Beef Association. This site offers everything from clip art to recipes and diaries of actual ranch families. An on-line glossary defines cow terms such as brand, calf crop, ear tag, and pasture rotation. If you're looking for a good reference site, this is it.

Well, these are only a few of the "cream" of several moo-velous cow sites. I'm sure you'll find more as you're browsing through these. Check them out and let me know what you think. E-mail ag_writer@geocities.com. My own home page is located at: www.geocities.com/Heartland/Meadows/4712
